Gozo Youth Forum is a Non Governmental Organization  which tries to give realistic perspective over youth national concerns. Perspectives over the advantages and disadvantages which are creating the present youth lifestyle.The Gozo youth Forum is committed to promote information about how youths can create a better future  by promoting better cultural / religious / political diversity, better youth inclusion and better information on climate change. This organization believes that by this way can help in creation of a better Gozitain future. It is active in helping adolescents joining in cultural and traditional groups, joining in youth political organizations, joining in sports activities and in voluntary organizations. Gozo Youth Forum is committed to improve social competencies of youths through these Non formal  methods which ensure they will achieve a good personal and social growth.

Target Group: Gozitain Youths from 13 years to 35 years.

This Youth Forum is interested to find International and European Partners to participate in Youth in Action program and other social, cultural, religious youth exchange programmes.

European Agency Engagments:

Mr. Christian Abela on belave of Regional European Funding Consultant Agency was invited by the municipality of Karlovo 'Bulgaria' for official disscusions about the possibility of bilateral projects co financed by the European Commision. This should be considered as the first success visit of its kind since Mr Christian Abela obtained an official invitation for a Maltese folklore group in Malta to participate in an International folk festival being organized as a part of the famous Rose Valley Festival. Also Christian Abela gained an invitation for a youth exchange in Karlovo where four youths from Malta had the opportunity to participate in this exchange during October. The exchange had the theme youth and dependencies.

Mr Christian Abela Managing Director of the Regional European Funding Consultant Agency was invited by the Social and Cultural Center of Verteillac France to attend with a delegation from Malta for European Program about the promotion of the European Educative System and also the European funding opportunities for local organizations. In this project there were participants from Lithunia, Italy, France, Latvia and Poland.

During the activity dates Christian Abela had the opportunity to make four presenattions about the island of Gozo, its socio economical life and also about its cultural habits. During these presentations Christian Abela Promoted better European Citizenship by means of Town Twinning projects and international European exchanges.

The activity dates consited of full 10 days where the Maltese delegation meet with several French dignitaries such as the mayor of Verteillac, The President of the French Regions, The Councillor responsabile from the French Culture and also members from the Youth National Agency of France.

This visit should also be considered as a success visit where Christian Abela made contacts with two French Collages whom are willing to accept students from Malta. The first collage Lycee Leonardo da Vinci offering studies in fashion design. The other one is Lycee ???? offering studies realted to all Tv Productions. Maltese students can benefit from this since such studies are not being offered in Malta. This visit was possible thanks to Mrs Tatioana Fourumi and Frank Fourumi from the Socail and Cultural Center of Verteillac.

Seminar in Poland

The agency recived an invitation addressed to Mr. Christian Abela to participate in a seminar in town of Lebork Poland. Adelegation led by Mr Joe Xuereb accepted the invitation. During the Seminar Mr. Joe Xuereb had the opportunity to make several presenations about the island of Gozo. Also the Gozitain Delegation had the opportunity to meet the deputy mayor of Lebork where the two parts discussed the possibilities of town Twtinning projects with Goitain local Councils and youth exchanges by the co financing of the programms being offeresd by the European Commision such as Citizens for Europe and Youth in Action. This was another success mission by the representatives of the Regional European Funding Agency where they obtained an official invitation for a Gozitain local Band to participate in an international festival being organized in Lebork during summer.

This scheme entitles Gozo established companies and self employed to be granted 100% of the ferry costs and 50%of the haulage costs.
